STN – Super Twisted Nematic

A type of passive matrix monochrome liquid crystal display, providing better viewing angles and performance than a TN display.

An upgraded version of the TN display, the Super Twisted Nematic Display has increased twist angles of up to 270° which provides a much better viewing angle.

STN displays allow a higher muliplex rate, resulting in higher resolution and are available at a very slight price premium to TN displays.
